We were extremely pleased that auditHOST was chosen as one of the three finalists for the prestigious ASC/MRS Technology Effectiveness Award 2005. This annual award is for outstanding innovation in the application of software or technology to market, opinion and social research in achieving greater effectiveness. The award aims to bring deserved prominence and recognition to those whose excellence in the application of technology is making an outstanding contribution to research effectiveness.

The winner was announced on the 25th October at The MRS Research Excellence & Effectiveness Awards Dinner which was held at The Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly, London. This year we were not the lucky winner but just being a finalist has increased the awareness of Gamma Associates, auditHOST and mTAB and we have been kept very busy following up requests for more information.

We had a wonderful evening at The Awards Dinner, the food was excellent and it was a pleasure to meet so many of the other guests from the Market Research Industry. The Gamma Team who were manning our stand 313 at Insight 2005 were also invited to the dinner together with our special guest Mr Eric Barna who is General Manager, Software Development from PAI, our partners in the USA and his lovely wife Karen.

Mystery Shopping is typically performed using third party auditors and for large corporations in Europe, this usually means employing and co-ordinating different companies for each market. Each shopping company will have its' own approach to implementing the audit and their own methods of collecting and presenting the results. This can result in a real headache for the corporate co-ordinator. He must ensure that the audits are conducted consistently across all of the auditing companies and then combine diverse data feeds from many different companies in order to do any worthwhile analysis.

Changing individual audit companies can also be problematic. This implies a change in the process and therefore consistency, as well as a probable change in the way the resultant data is delivered.
